IDAHOOS
 (pronounced Ida whos)

From Idaho

Bird13a

Idahoos (Fakus Birdius) were first sighted
in 1857 near Coeur d'Alene, Idaho

They are extremely shy and it is said that if you see one in the wild
you will have good fortune.

Idahoos come in a wide range of colors and seem to be very playful.

The largest one ever seen was almost 24 inches in height
with a wingspan of nearly 36 inches
but the average is somewhere between 6 to 8 inches in height.

Not much is known about this rare and unusual bird
and it is said that they have the ability to talk.
If you come across one, you should really count your blessings!

The leading authority on Idahoos is Dr. D.C. Smythe.
He has made it his life's work to research this rare bird
and with his permission we were able to put some pictures together
from his extensive library and we offer them to you.
